Monica Yankowski is the Manager of Gas Safely Excellence at Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), Gas Operations. She provides direct oversight of the implementation of Gas Operations’ integrated safety management system consisting of three main components: Asset Management, Safety Culture, and Process Safety. She works closely with PG&E’s third-party assessors to ensure continued compliance and certifications for best-in-class industry standards, namely, ISO 55001 (Asset Management System), API Recommended Practice 1173 (Pipeline Safety Management Systems), and API Recommended Practice 754 (Process Safety Performance Indicators). Prior to her current role, Ms. Yankowski served as Principal in Risk Management at PG&E where she served as Subject Matter Expert for operational and business risk strategy, led risk assessment efforts in accordance with organizational standard practices, and worked collaboratively with stakeholders to develop, implement, and monitor appropriate risk mitigation activities and controls. Ms. Yankowski has over 20 years experience in various functional areas of a management system including quality management and audit, compliance and regulatory relations, vendor management, and process improvement. Ms. Yankowski holds a B.S. in Business and Economics and MBA. She is certified by the Institute of Asset Management and holds a Six Sigma green belt.
