Richard Hartlein

Mr. Hartlein is currently a Principal Research Engineer at Georgia Tech where he serves as the Director of the National Electric Energy Testing, Research, & Applications Center (NEETRAC). In this position, he works with close to 40 members to conduct research and testing projects related to the transmission and distribution of electric energy. He served in several leadership roles in industry technical organizations and was elevated to the grade of IEEE Fellow in 2010. As NEETRAC Director, he also serves as the chair of the NEETRAC Management Board and continues to work as a principal investigator on projects in the field of underground cable systems.
