Sara Schroeder

Sara manages POWER’s Canada Transmission Line Group out of the Toronto, Ontario office. After graduating with a Civil/Structural Engineering degree in 2007, Sara got a taste of high voltage transmission line design and never looked back. Sara’s design experience includes wood, composite, tubular steel, concrete and lattice steel transmission lines up to 500 kV. She has extensive knowledge of the PLS-CADD software package and its design applications and has executed projects at conceptual and detailed design levels. Some notable projects include the design of a catenary structure high in the mountains of British Columbia, and more recently overseeing a team who designed the replacement of almost 900 transmission and distribution poles in high risk fire areas on the southwestern United States. Sara’s newest COVID hobby is riding a unicycle around the block to put a smile on her neighbors’ faces.
