Shalene Choon

Shalene Choon is a Technical Advisor at Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas) and is responsible for developing and implementing training tools, programs, and education materials to raise the awareness and understanding of SoCalGas’s Safety Management System (SMS) among employees and external stakeholders, she is also responsible for the development and implementation of the Organizational Management of Change SharePoint Knowledge Transfer tool.

Shalene has been under the Sempra umbrella for over 10 years, she has worked at San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) in the Customer Programs Department. She moved to Los Angeles in 2014 and reported to the Pipeline Safety Enhancement Program (PSEP) Sr. Director and subsequently as a Project Specialist supporting the PSEP regulatory filings.

Shalene has a B.S. in Healthcare Administration from National University, San Diego and successfully passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in December of 2020. Shalene is currently pursuing her Master’s in Organizational Leadership from the University of Arizona.
