Sheldon Smith has been the Director of Customer Care & Billing at SaskPower since 2019, and his primary focus has been on enhancing customer experience and providing self-service solutions for customers. Prior to that Mr. Smith spent 20 years in various IT roles in the Utility and Telecommunications industries, designing and implementing innovative technology solutions to solve business problems.
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Psychology, from Memorial University of Newfoundland, and an Applied Business Information Technology Diploma from the College of the North Atlantic.
He is an avid online gamer, and also spent several years as a professional lobster and snow crab fishermen in Newfoundland before heading west to pursue a career in Information Technology. Mr. Smith volunteers as an active member of the Queen City Volleyball Club to support youth sports in the community.
