Steven Schmitt

Steve has over 18 years of experience working for NorthWestern Energy, a privately owned and vertically integrated electric and gas utility in the State of Montana. He has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gonzaga University, an MBA from Regis University, and is a registered PE in the state of Montana.
Steve supervises a team who are responsible for long term energy supply planning for NorthWestern. He has experience working with a variety of electric and gas projects during his career including Smart Grid applications, Substations, System Engineering, and Standards. Steve enjoys coaching his kids in soccer and baseball, volunteering in his community, and most any outdoor activity in the beautiful state of Montana.
