Susan Gray is President and Chief Operating Officer for Tucson Electric Power.
Susan came to TEP as a student engineer in 1994 and progressed through several leadership positions in Transmission and Distribution Operations. Her positive leadership style, analytical approach and teambuilding and interpersonal skills were recognized in 2015 when she was named Vice President of Energy Delivery and then Chief Operating Officer in 2019. She was promoted to her current position in January 2020.
Susan motivates and inspires her team by encouraging inclusivity and diversity of thought, teamwork and creative problem-solving to promote operational excellence. As a founding member of TEP’s Women in Energy group, Susan also strives to develop, mentor and inspire her fellow women colleagues in the energy industry.
She serves on the Advisory Boards for the Eller College and College of Engineering at the University of Arizona and two professional association boards.
Susan Gray holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master’s of business administration from the University of Arizona.
