Tara Fraser

With over 15 years as a Fire Safety professional, Tara has had a broad background in both “boots on the ground” fire response experience and senior fire prevention and strategy positions. As the Fire Marshal for BC Hydro since early 2014, Tara has been responsible for developing fire risk management program elements and providing subject matter expertise in all things fire safety throughout the business. Among many other things, this includes significant input to our job planning and risk management strategies to ensure compliance with provincial Regulations to prevent wildfires from starting and spreading.

Tara is also married and a mom to two busy young kids. In my down time, you can often find me hiking, camping, skiing, boating and enjoying the spectacular nature found in my backyard. Protecting people and our beautiful outdoors is what I’m passionate about in both my professional and personal life.
