Tessa Ryan

Tessa Ryan (BASc 2014, Simon Fraser University) is a professional engineer in the province of Alberta working for EPCOR Distribution & Transmission (Electricity) as an asset management engineer. Her primary focus is management of underground distribution cable assets, including risk analysis, investment and intervention planning, maintenance, and failure analysis. She also manages the maintenance and lifecycle of Distribution Automation assets and EPCOR’s MV Cable lab which analyzes cable failures and integrates findings into future risk and investment planning. She is also an Engineering Management PhD student at the University of Alberta with research interests in reliability, quantitative risk analysis and lifecycle management of linear underground assets.
