Tessa Ryan is an Asset Management Engineer working in EPCOR Distribution and holds a BASc in Computer Engineering from Simon Fraser University. She spent the first 3 of her 4 years at EPCOR in an EIT rotation program doing engineering work on 11 different teams, earning her a unique understanding of the utility business. Tessa manages the operation of EPCOR’s on-site Cable Test Lab facility and is closely involved in equipment root cause failure investigations. While working full-time, Tessa is pursuing her PhD in Engineering Management at the University of Alberta, conducting research on the reliability of underground power cable in urban Distribution systems. She is an active member of her local IEEE chapter and Chair of both Young Professionals and Women in Engineering affinity groups.
