Toni Hoang serves as Enterprise Risk Manager for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, the 6th largest publicly owned utility in the nation. In her capacity, she is responsible for maintaining and managing an integrated risk management framework which helps prioritize the allocation of business resources to support the delivery of safe, reliable, sustainable and affordable electricity in the Sacramento region. An attorney by training and a respected risk manager with over 16 years of risk management experience in the utility and construction field, she is often sought for her expertise on risk management best practice and project/program management best practices. Her reputation for excellence has been earned in expansive, strategic developmental projects in both public utilities/government and private sectors. She was honored by the Sacramento Business Journal’s 40 under 40 for her outstanding professional accomplishments and community involvement. She also has served as subject matter expert, speaker and author. Toni’s education includes a Juris Doctoral from Humphrey’s University, MBA in Finance, Bachelor of Arts in Bio-Chemistry and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from CSU Stanislaus. Toni is an active member of the State Bar of California and holds a Certified Risk Management Practitioner certification through the Risk and Insurance Management Society. She currently serves as the Vice-Chair for the Public Agency Risk Management Association (PARMA) Sacramento Chapter.
