Wallace Rawls

Wallace Rawls is the Director of Safety, Emergency Management and Pipeline Safety & Compliance at Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas). Prior to his current role he was the Director of Distribution – Northwest region. He began his career at SoCalGas in 1989 as a field employee. Since then, Wallace has held various management positions within Gas Operations with increasing span of control and responsibility. He has worked for SoCalGas for over 30 years. The majority of his career at SoCalGas has been in gas distribution. Wallace will continue to provide leadership, vision, and strategy towards the safe and reliable delivery of natural gas to our customers. Employee development is his top priority as well as the safety and wellbeing of our employees and customers.
Wallace holds a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the University of La Verne and a Masters of Business Administration from Azusa Pacific University School of Business and Management. Wallace has supplemented his work experience with education. His leadership style was formed and developed during his military career. Prior to joining SoCalGas, Wallace served in the U.S. Army and the California National Guard. His National Guard unit was activated during the Gulf War and the L.A. Riots.
