Wendy Veliz

Wendy Veliz is an employee of Portland General Electric (PGE) where she currently works in the Local Government Affairs department. Her current responsibilities include managing utility and business issues that impact PGE’s operations with counties and municipalities both within PGE’s service and operating service territories. She focuses on the strengthening of partnerships with local government and community leaders. Prior to her role in local government affairs, Wendy served as a lead in field operations. Wendy currently serves as a member of the Oregon Community Foundation Metropolitan Leadership Council, the Oregon State Parks Foundation, and the Salem Chamber Board of Directors.

Wendy earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Eastern Oregon University. Wendy also completed the Utility Management Certificate program from Willamette University in Salem, Ore.

Wendy is a third generation Latina who grew up in Oregon’s lush Willamette Valley and resides in the small community of Aurora, Oregon with her family.
