Yolanda France

Yolanda G. France has been employed since 1995 in various capacities in customer services at the Salt River Project (SRP), a water and power utility serving approximately 1,000,000 customers in the Phoenix metropolitan area.

Currently, Ms. France is the Director of Customer Contact Operations, a position she has held since July 2011. In this capacity she oversees operations of SRP’s two Residential Contact Centers, Business Contact Center, Water Contact Center, Construction Contact Center, workforce management and support group, and a Resource Counseling Group.

Her commitment to the Hispanic community is reflected by her active participation in SRP committees and in the community. Ms. France was a founding member for SRP’s Hispanic Employee Network, ¡Hablamos SRP! She has represented SRP in television public service announcements in Spanish and has acted as a Spanish language media relations representative. She also served six years as a board member of Valle del Sol, one of the largest behavioral health and social service organizations servicing Hispanics in Arizona. Ms. France served as Treasurer and Secretary of the Board during her tenure on the Board. Ms. France is currently serving on the Board of the Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Ms. France began her career at SRP as a bilingual residential customer services representative. Her attention to detail and analytical skills led to her position as administrative analyst for the Associate General Manager of Commercial and Customer Services, coordinating the budgets and managing employee communications for all the areas in the department. She was a participant in the first analyst rotation program at SRP and worked in the Resource Planning, Pricing and Strategic Economic Services departments. She then became a supervisor in the residential call center which led to her assuming the role of Manager of Residential Customer Services Technical Support Services, and later Manager of Research and Communications Services.

Before joining SRP, Ms. France worked at the Arizona-Mexico Commission, in the Office of the Governor, as committee coordinator between the Commission and Sonora’s Comisión Sonora-Arizona.

She attended grade school and high school in Mesa, Arizona, holds a B.A. in English from Arizona State University and an International MBA from Western International University.
