Executive Planning Committee – Operations Electric

This Committee consists of senior executives of key business lines in Electric Operations. The committee conveys member companies’ education/leadership needs to WEI, recommends leaders to serve on program delivery teams, communicates WEI program offerings back to member organizations, and monitors participation and evaluation of WEI activities. Participants in the EPC Planning Session assist in building valuable programs for employees and their peers, identify key contributors to learn and grow, and promote these programs within their companies.

In his role as Director of Curriculum Development, Eric leads the WEI Operations Conference and the Executive Planning Committee. He also leads the Electric and Gas Utility Fundamentals + Insights skills development programs, and is one of WEI’s instructors for the electric course. He also supports the organization and his teammates as the Director of Analytics.

He joined WEI after seven great years at Portland General Electric. At PGE he developed and managed the company’s Enterprise Risk Management program and worked in several other areas including operations benchmarking, regulatory affairs, fleet services, AMI, and finance.

Prior to joining PGE, Eric worked in internet marketing and as the Manager of Strategy and Analysis at a local finance company.

Eric earned his Bachelors in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Oregon. He volunteers his time on the Oregon Society of Association Management and as an Executive Committee Member of the Greater Portland Soccer District.

Gregg Kludjian is currently the Director of Operations for Asplundh Construction Company’s (ACC) West Coast Division. He is responsible for ACC’s operations within the Western areas of the U.S., focusing on high voltage electric system line construction, civil construction and electric system planning and engineering business lines. As the Director of Operations, Gregg is responsible for business development, profit/loss and general management of the various ACC Regions within the Western U.S. Gregg joined ACC in July of 2014.

Previously, Gregg was an executive with the Southern California Edison Company (SCE) for 32 years, holding various executive, managerial and field operations positions. His most recent position was as Director of Asset Management within the T&D organization. As the Director of Asset Management, Gregg was responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and policies relating to the overall asset strategy of SCE’s electrical assets, including inspection and maintenance of the electrical grid, performance management and analysis, oversight and quality assurance, contractor strategy, and strategic and tactical resource planning for executing SCE’s T&D’s operations and maintenance and capital work plans. He has also been a witness for the T&D organization in four of SCE’s general rate cases before the California Public Utilities Commission.

Gregg has to two children, Lucas age 17 and Isabella age 14 and resides in the Santa Clarita Valley. He enjoys bicycling, off-roading and other outdoor activities. Gregg is a native of Southern California, having grown up in Malibu.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from California State University, Northridge, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.

Leanne Swanson is the Principal Manager of Distribution Engineering in the Transmission and Distribution (T&D) organization at Southern California Edison (SCE). In that role she is responsible for providing strategic direction and managing the teams responsible for the planning of the electric distribution and substation infrastructure throughout the SCE system, including the interconnection of distributed resources.

Previously, Leanne managed the Saddleback District, responsible for electrical and civil design, construction, maintenance and inspection of the overhead and underground electric distribution system in South Orange County. She began her career at SCE in 2000 and has held a variety of engineering, supervisory, and management positions in the Transmission and Distribution Organization.

Leanne earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona in 2000, and obtained her Professional Engineering license in 2005. In addition, she graduated from the Western Energy Institute (WEI) Business Acumen for Emerging Leaders program in 2007.

Leanne leads the Women in Engineering Steering team at SCE and is the liaison to the Edison International Women in Engineering Program at Cal Poly Pomona.

Outside of work, Leanne keeps busy with her two children Zoey and Rehn. The family is active in the community including Rehn’s elementary school, where her husband Dan Palmquist is the Foundation President and Leanne is the PTA president. Leanne and Zoey are also members of the Newport Chapter of the National Charity League, where they spend time volunteering with those in need and raising funds for local philanthropies. The family enjoys spending weekends travelling, camping, boating, and skiing.

Wayne Wisdom is the Senior Director of Distribution Grid Services for the Salt River Project (SRP). His area is responsible for performing Maintenance and Reliability Improvement functions and providing Support Services for SRP’s Electric Distribution System.

Wayne joined SRP in 1986 and has served in a variety of engineering and management positions in transmission and distribution.

Wayne holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arizona and is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Arizona.
