The pieces are in place for success.

Western Energy Institute (WEI) delivers an aggregation of talent across energy companies. We help professionals from 80 energy companies throughout the Western United States and Canada identify and connect with their counterparts—essentially pairing you and your employees with individuals handling the same problems, in the same job—at another company. WEI provides a relaxing environment to exchange wins and losses, discuss emerging issues, and ultimately cultivate professional relationships that encourage problem solving and innovative ideas.

Testimonial

“Western Energy Institute is an excellent resource for keeping current with a wide range of increasingly complex issues facing the utility industry. My participation in the Business Acumen for Emerging Leaders program was transformative in developing a strong understanding of how the various parts of utilities deliver value to customers. Developing professional relationships across the western region allows for efficiency gains and cross-pollination when dealing with common problems. Beyond numbers and data, Western Energy Institute provides a window in the leadership and culture of similar utilities and helps to separate best practices from institutional momentum and chaff.”

“WEI has given me the opportunity to meet professionals from across the region facing and overcoming the organizational and technical challenges I see in my everyday work. The forums provide us an opportunity to share what has worked, what hasn't worked, and to brainstorm where we can go in the future. The group can inspire and encourage, and help us find the solutions to improve our utilities every day.”
