Barinder Rasode

Barinder Rasode is Director of Social Responsibility for Resource Works.

She has extensive experience working with senior levels of government, stakeholders and the private sector to find common ground and encourage respectful, informed dialogue on diverse issues facing the resource industry, in order to tackle emerging challenges that threaten BC’s economic future.

Rasode is also on the Board of Directors for Fraser Health, providing governance and vision for the largest health authority in British Columbia. In her appointed role, she works with senior management to establish overall strategic direction, review long-term plans, and ensure appropriate community consultation.

She is the Co-Founder and Advisory Committee Chair for a unique series of conferences, each featuring 16 inspirational women who share stories of leadership, transformation, innovation, and how to succeed in today’s rapidly changing world. SheTalks Global is going into it’s second year with it’s popular events, SheTalks YVR, SheTalks Resources and SheTalks Technology.

In 2014 she was recognized by Vancouver Magazine as one of the 50 most powerful people in Vancouver.

Previously, Rasode served two terms as an elected City Councillor for the City of Surrey taking leadership roles in public safety and transportation.
