Julie McGinnis holds an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Alberta and a Master of Arts from McMaster University. She has spent over 10 years in the organizational learning field leading the creation and implementation of training and talent development programs and strategies. Julie has gained experience across a broad portfolio; leading trades training and competency assessment programs, safety and leadership development initiatives, and implementing enterprise learning management systems.
Julie’s passion for learning and people has recently led her to step out of her comfort zone to focus on the other side of the people equation: the customer. As Manager of Customer Care for ATCO, Julie leads the emergency call centre, the contact centre, as well as back office billing and incident management teams. When she’s not sitting in front of her laptop on a Teams meeting, you can find Julie busy with two young kids, cross country skiing, or cooking in the kitchen with a glass of wine in hand.
