Salman Shahid

Salman Shahid is a seasoned information technology principal with many years of experience in delivering IT strategies, architectures and solutions. He is currently leading Enterprise Architecture function in BC Hydro where he has been actively influencing planning and delivery for data driven business solutions across the organization.

Salman represents BC Hydro in Canadian Electricity Association (CEA) technology forums. He recently contributed in developing “Data and Analytics Playbook” for the benefit of all major utilities in Canada. He is also BC Hydro representative on the BCIT Program Advisory Committee for Technology Management.

Prior to joining BC Hydro, Salman has been passionately involved in planning, designing and developing many innovative technology solutions in energy trading, risk management and market research verticals. He holds degrees in Electronic Engineering and Digital Business as well as multiple technical certifications.
