Hydrogen is already a part of the U.S. natural gas pipeline infrastructure. While some Gas utilities have introduced hydrogen to their existing systems, others are conducting pilot projects or are continuing research. We must ask ourselves what are the integrity, safety, and risk concerns with blending hydrogen into existing systems? The Hydrogen: Integrity, Safety, and Risk Considerations session is a panel discussion with gas utilities to explore and discuss what has been learned in regard to the introduction of hydrogen and its impact to system integrity, operations, damage prevention response.

Minimizing Risk by Effectively Analyzing Data to Identify Damage Trends
Speakers: Peter Griffen, Senior Account Executive, Urbint
Micheal Kaminski, Manager/Engineering, Southwest Gas Corporation
We will present how implementing 811 ticket risk scoring technology differently to quickly identify high-risk excavation sites can be highly effective. Learn the differences between a vendor provided ticket risk scoring solution, vs an in-house developed solution and how subsurface owners are leveraging the risk scoring technologies to reduce excavation damages.
