The 2020 Annual Photo Contest is now open! This is an open call to all photographs representing the electric or natural gas industry. Celebrate your talent, share your unique perspective and get a chance to win prizes by entering today.

This contest is open to all WEI energy and service company members. There is no limit on the amount of photographs each contestant may enter, but all images must be related to the electric or natural gas industry. Photographs may be from any time and do not have to be taken within the last calendar year. The first-place winner will receive placement on the cover of WE magazine, as well as a Visa gift card. A collection of top-ranking photographs will also be published inside the magazine.

To Enter: Please send submissions to by September 1, 2020.

Image files must have a resolution of at least 300 dpi at a minimum dimension of 8 inches. Please include the photographer’s name, company, date or year the photograph was taken, and an optional caption. Entry into the contest constitutes your acceptance of the official contest rules. NorthWestern Energy Lineman Tom Nielsen helps University of Montana biology professor, Erick Greene, access an osprey nest to band chicks while their angry mama circles above. The nest, located on an old pole once energized by the Milwaukee Railroad out of Deer Lodge, Montana, is part of the Montana Osprey Project’s research on heavy metals in the Clark Fork watershed.
