Jim Lucas

Jim Lucas is a Commercial Development Manager for the Southern California Gas Company. One of his group’s missions is to support, promote and further develop the biogas market by educating customers on the benefits of renewable natural gas and how to create value from their organic waste. Jim’s team also manages SoCalGas’s shareholder tariff services and the SB 1383 dairy pilot projects.

Since starting with SoCalGas over 25 years ago, Jim has held a variety of positions relating to Product Development, Project Management, Energy Efficiency, Pipeline Operations, Financial Analysis, and Engineering on both the regulated and unregulated sides of the business.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Jim is also a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
