Jim Lucas

Jim Lucas is a Commercial Development Manager for the Southern California Gas Company. His group’s primary mission is to facilitate the market growth, deployment opportunities, and advancement of renewable natural gas and distributed energy resources within SoCalGas’s service territory. Jim’s team also manages SoCalGas’s shareholder tariff services, and several RNG related pilot projects.

Since starting with SoCalGas over 28years ago, Jim has held a variety of positions relating to Product Development, Project Management, Energy Efficiency, Pipeline Operations, Financial Analysis, and Engineering on both the regulated and unregulated sides of the business.

Jim received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara and his Masters of Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton. Jim is also a registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in the State of California.
