John Coggins

John Coggins is the Associate General Manager and Chief Power System Executive of the Salt River Project. SRP provides sustainable, reliable, and affordable water and power to more than 2 million people in central Arizona and has annual revenues over $3 billion. John is responsible for the operation of SRP’s power system including renewable, hydro, nuclear and fossil generation, a high voltage transmission system, and an extensive electrical distribution network. John has over 35 years of experience in the energy industry. He currently serves on the board of RMEL and is a member of the Research Advisory Committee for the Electric Power Research Institute. He is also Vice Chair of the Large Public Power Council Operating Executive Work Group. John is active in the local community and serves on the Board of Trustees for the Heard Museum in Phoenix and is also a board member for the O’Connor Institute for American Democracy.
