Qualen Chavis

Skip Chavis is a Principal Contract Administrator for major projects at PG&E. He graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a BSEE-Power Emphasis, is a CA PE and LSS Green belt. Skip has held many positions in his 30 year career with PG&E; however, most of his career has been in Substation Engineering as a project engineer, senior consulting electrical engineer and supervising engineer. Some of his most memorable assignments include engineering process development, converting existing substations, and designing new substations, especially “Evolution”. For hobbies, Skip enjoys almost anything outdoors but mostly on the calendar is golf, basketball, cycling and swimming.
