Donald Roberts

Don is the project manager of Western’s Asset Management Program Improvement Project (AMPIP). Since 2012 Don has been leading the effort to start up a new formalized asset management program across the agency, and focusing on three key transmission assets: power transformers, power circuit breakers and transmission lines. Goal was to develop a data-driven risk- based analysis to provide input into the capital improvement plan. The primary guidance provided to this project included alignment with PAS 55 and ISO 55000, and to use and leverage existing systems as much as possible.

Don is a registered professional civil engineer in the state of CA and has over 35 years of construction and project management experience with the Bureau of Reclamation, Corps of Engineers, and the last 24 years with the Western Area Power Administration.
