Jared Ellsworth

Jared Ellsworth joined Idaho Power in 2004 as a Distribution Planning Engineer. Jared spent time working in several different Areas at Idaho Power as a Dist. Planning Engineering before transitioning to System Planning in 2007. After a one-year temporary assignment in Grid Operations, Jared moved into his current role as a the Engineering Leader of Idaho Power’s Transmission Policy & Development group. Jared oversees Idaho Power’s Local and Regional Transmission Planning, transmission related capital projects, WECC path rating studies, and mid to long-term transmission strategy.

Jared received his BS in Electrical Engineering, and Masters of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Idaho in 2004 and 2010 and professional engineering license in 2008. Jared, and his wife, are the proud parents of two wonderful daughters (5 and 2).
